  First off, I am not one to complain. Secondly, this is the first “comment” I have ever posted online. After today’s experience with this office, all of those that “might” be looking for a new doc may want to keep on looking. I just feel my experience needs to be shared so you can make an informed decision on your own. My doctor of 16 years recently retired. So I chose this doc in December 2014 to attempt to replace my beloved doctor. My experience with her office staff was not very pleasant or personable. Outside of handing me a pen, did not even acknowledge my presence as a new patient. I brought in the initial stack of paperwork that was mailed to my home and paid my $35 co-pay. My weight was taken, existing meds discussed, etc., all seemed to be normal for first visit. I was seated in an exam room where I waited a bit for the doctor. Then, I was ushered into another room where blood was drawn then I went to the front to get my scripts. Was told the doctor wanted to see me again in two weeks so I made my appointment. In two weeks, I show up for my appointment and pay second $35 co-pay , got weighted, went over meds and was seated in an exam room where I waited for the doctor. Doc comes in, tells me my results are good . Doc directs me to the front desk where I am told the doc wants to see me again in January. (By the grace of God, I am a healthy 50 year old. I take a water pill and a low dose blood pressure pill. That is it.) In January 2015 I show up again and pay a third co-pay of $35 co-pay. The office staff hands me another stack of papers to fill out. I turn those in, get called back, weighed, discuss meds and seated in an exam room where I wait. I am told everything looks good, get dismissed and think I am good until January 2016, right? In March 2015, allergy season came along so I needed to get some med. I pay a forth $35 co-pay, go through the routine as before and this time, as I wait, I read about new weight loss pill I would like to try. The doc comes in, I get allergy scripts and I ask the doc if I could try the weight loss pill. The doc said, “let’s get you well first. Schedule an appointment and come back to see me.” In my job I work out of town and with very tight deadlines. Therefore, I opted not to schedule a fifth appointment within four months. It is now July 2015. I’m running very low on BP and water pills. I call the office and ask for refills for clonondine and hydrochlorothizide. I am told that those will get called in. I try to pick them up when I get back in town on a Friday night and the pharmacy doesn’t have my medication. Doc’s office did not call it in! I call the doc’s office the following Monday. Told them that the pharm didn’t have my meds. The same person told me that it would be called. Get back in town the following Friday night and again, no medication! I call the doc’s office on July 27th got a different person and am told that the Doc wants to make an appointment with me so I can get my REFILLS!!! I asked the person why I needed to come in when I saw her 3 or 4 times already this year. The person tells me "I don't know, that is what the doc said." I explained to her that I have been trying to get these refilled now for almost TWO weeks! I am desperately LOW with only 2 pills left. I work out of town and need my blood pressure pills for obvious reasons. The exact message given to me by this “doctor” is: "The doc will not give you a refill until you make an appointment. We have our next appointment available a week from today. “ When I asked this person what do I do in the meantime? This is the exact message given to me: Should you need medical assistance during this time, then YOU CAN GO TO AN URGENT CARE CLINIC! So there you have it! Good luck! Dear Ms. Rena, thank you for your response. However, a message was left under my REAL name on Friday and it is now WEDNESDAY following week -- still no return call.
